Gutter Repairs and Fascia Replacement

Gutter repairs go wrong when only the gutter gets repaired. A run that sags, leaks or pulls away is usually reporting a problem with the board behind it, and resealing the gutter leaves that board rotting.

Our Process

We find what caused the run to fail before quoting the run itself. It is usually the board behind it, and resealing the joints without dealing with that buys a season.

Why Choose TurboMax

We fix the reason the gutter failed rather than the gutter, which occasionally means telling someone that their gutter repair is actually a carpentry job. That is more useful than a bead of sealant and a bill.

Fred quotes every job personally, with Thomas running the second team. Written, minimum 2-year guarantee on the workmanship, with extended guarantees available on request, and a 10-year service guarantee where the work is maintained by us on an agreed cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers, including the ones that talk us out of a bigger job.

What do gutter repairs cost?

They are priced by the work rather than by the metre: run to reset, joints to reseal, downpipes involved, and fascia to replace. Fascia is usually the biggest variable and we quote it separately. Most gutter repairs cost far less than people expect, particularly compared with the damp repair they prevent.

My gutter is sagging in the middle. Can it just be refixed?

Sometimes, but check the board first. Sagging almost always means the brackets have lost their grip on the fascia, and that is usually because the timber has softened from water running behind the gutter. Refixing into soft timber holds for a season. We will tell you which situation you are in before quoting.

Do you replace fascia boards?

Yes, it is part of gutter work rather than a separate trade. Rotted fascia is very often the actual reason a gutter failed, and replacing the gutter without dealing with the board puts you back where you started.

Can a leaking joint just be sealed?

Yes, where the gutter is otherwise sound and set to the correct fall. Resealing a joint on a run that has lost its fall and is holding water is a temporary fix, because the standing water is what killed the joint in the first place.

Do all my gutters need replacing if one side has failed?

Usually not. Gutters do not fail evenly because exposure is not even, and the north and west runs that take the driven winter rain generally go first. Replacing one elevation and repairing the others is a perfectly normal outcome and often the right one.
