What does roof waterproofing cost?
Roof type, the amount of detail on the roof, the condition of any existing system, and access are what move the number. A plain concrete slab and a slab of the same size with parapets, outlets and pipe penetrations are different jobs. We separate preparation from the waterproofing in the quote so you can see which is which.
Which waterproofing is best for a leaking tiled roof?
Usually none at first. A leaking tiled roof rarely needs a whole-roof treatment. It needs the failed detail repaired, a cracked tile replaced, a valley cleared, flashing refitted, then targeted sealing. A blanket coating over a tiled roof treats the symptom while the actual entry point carries on letting water in.
Do you use a waterproofing membrane on tiled roofs?
No. Membranes are engineered for flat, smooth surfaces and are seldom right on a pitched tiled roof. If a contractor has quoted you a full membrane layout for a tiled roof leak, that is worth a second opinion, and ours is free.
How often should a roof be checked?
Once a year, ideally in late summer or autumn before the winter rain arrives. Clearing gutters, checking for cracked tiles and removing plant growth is an inexpensive morning. Replacing a saturated ceiling is not.
Can you match the fix to my budget?
Yes, and we will be honest about what that costs you in the long run. We will tell you what has to be dealt with now to keep water out and what can safely wait a season, and we are happy to quote both. What we will not do is put a cheap coating over a structural failure and call it fixed.
