Terms of service
These terms cover the use of this website and the basis on which TurboMax Waterproofing provides quotes and carries out work. They are written plainly on purpose. Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act or any other South African law.
About this website
The information on this site describes how we work and what we typically find on Cape Town buildings. It is general guidance, not a diagnosis of your property. Every building is different, and nothing on this website should be treated as a professional opinion on your specific roof, wall or balcony until we have inspected it.
Quotes and site inspections
- Site inspections and quotes are free, and the call-out fee is waived.
- A quote covers the scope described on it. If we find something during the work that was not visible at inspection, trapped moisture, rotten timber, a second failure, we stop, tell you, and agree what happens next before continuing.
- Quotes are valid for the period stated on the quote. Material prices move, and we would rather re-quote than absorb a change quietly or ask for more later.
- Nothing is booked and no materials are ordered until you accept the quote.
Payment terms
Deposit secures your booking. Balance on completion. A deposit secures your booking and materials, with the balance due on completion. These terms are stated on every quote and on this website so they are known before you agree to anything.
Our workmanship guarantee
Every job carries a minimum 2-year workmanship guarantee, issued in writing. Extended guarantees are available on request, and a 10-year service guarantee is offered where the system and substrate allow it. The guarantee covers our workmanship, if what we repaired or waterproofed fails within the guarantee period, we come back and put it right at no charge.
It does not cover:
- New damage caused by storm, impact, fire or structural movement
- Damage caused by work done by others after us, anything drilled, bolted or fixed through a membrane we installed
- Failures in parts of the building we did not work on, or that we identified at quote stage and you chose not to have done
- Deterioration caused by lack of basic maintenance, such as gutters never being cleared
If something goes wrong, phone us first on 060 357 1122. Every problem we have had in twenty-five years has been sorted by us going back and looking at it.
Scheduling and weather
Most of what we do needs a dry, sound surface. If the weather makes a job unsafe or would compromise the work, we move it and we phone you, we will not lay a system onto a wet substrate to hold a date. Where you are actively leaking, we will do a temporary containment repair first and book the permanent work for settled weather, and we will tell you clearly which of the two you are getting.
Access and site conditions
We need safe access to the work area, and where relevant, a power point and water. If we cannot access the roof safely we will say so rather than improvise. Please move or cover anything valuable near the work area; we protect what we can, but roof work generates dust and debris.
Enquiries sent through this site
Sending the quote form does not create a contract. It is a request for us to phone you back. How we handle the information you send is set out in ourprivacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
